Paradox Interactive Announces Heavyweight Line-up for GDC 2011

Prepare for a Magicka “Surprise”, Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword, Pirates of Black Cove, Defenders of Ardania& Supreme Ruler: Cold War

Paradox Interactive has today announced a strong line-up of playable titles for this year’s Game Developers Conference taking place in San Francisco between February 28th and March 4th.

The renowned developer and publisher will be showing off a variety of upcoming games including the newest addition to their acclaimed Mount & Blade series entitled Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword and a new tower defense game set in the Majesty universe titled Defenders of Ardania, the first Paradox title releasing on iPad.  Paradox Interactive will be present between February  28th and March 4th  and will be available for game demos and interview.

Magicka “Surprise” (PC: Action, Adventure, Co-op mayhem)
We have a “surprise” to reveal for acclaimed indie hit Magicka, and we want you to check it out! So what is it? Well, it wouldn’t be surprise if we just told you, right? We can't say until GDC, but here is a clue – it is not what you think it is. Zing!

Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword (PC: Action, Role-Playing, Sandbox)
New addition to the Mount & Blade experience, features fully customizable troops, new siege options, and an exciting new age of weaponry. In addition to the enhanced singleplayer mode, With Fire and Sword also provides a host of original multiplayer content.

Pirates of Black Cove (PC: Action, Adventure, Role-Playing, RTS)
Open-world RPG that gives you the chance to become the most notorious pirate to roam the seas. Work your way to the top of the pirate brotherhood by using bribery, assassinations, and amass a crew of your own and battle with other fleets.

Defenders of Ardania (PC, console, iPad: Tower defense, Fantasy)
Defenders of Ardania is a next-generation tower defense game set in the rich fantasy world of Majesty, but with a twist. Besides the addictive core mechanics of placing towers to stop advancing enemy units, Defenders of Ardania also allows players to take on the role of the attackers seeking to conquer the enemy base.

Supreme Ruler: Cold War (PC: Grand Strategy, RTS)
Supreme Ruler: Cold War is the next extension in the Supreme Ruler series and gives players control over the US or Russia as they try to lead their country to glory. Players make economic, diplomatic, domestic, and military decisions to grow and modernize their nation to ensure its place atop the rest of the world.

Sword of the Stars II: Lords of Winter (PC: 4X Strategy)
Sword of the Stars II: Lords of Winter is the full stand-alone follow-up to the hit 4X-styled Sword of the Stars franchise. The continuing storyline will reveal the dark secrets of the ancient force responsible for tampering with the races in the original Sword of the Stars
